Summer is fast approaching, and your recent health check is not looking its best. The effects of delicious winter casseroles, a reduction from three to five days a week to a mere single day a week at the local gym, has well, need I say, added a few extra pounds to that once lean and toned body. Of course, let us not forget, Isolation. Those sugary winter desserts twice a week, which normally wouldn’t be on the menu.
OK, well time to stop procrastinating and get on with putting an action plan in place to burn that fat off.
If you’ve been staying indoors at lunchtime due to the cooler conditions, start getting back into the habit of eating a lighter lunch and going for a 10 minute walk (or five minutes up and down the steps between floors) before heading back to work; or even better, if the weather permits eat lunch outdoors.
Another great tip to kick into life is to check your zinc levels, especially if you are feeling exhausted. Zinc deficiency may be one of the reasons why you are feeling depleted in energy amongst other things. If you have been noticeably exhausted for a while, go and have a health check with your GP. The last thing you want is to rely on high sugar snacks to give you artificial energy boosts through the day. I would also recommend adding Vitamin D due to the change of our environment.
